Cari Elise Fletcher (born March 19, 1994) is an American singer-songwriter and musician. She born in Asbury, New Jersey and grew up there. FLETCHER started her music journey by competing on the first season of “The X Factor (U.S.)”. Her breakthrough came when her single, “Undrunk” charted.

FLETCHER made her acting debut on The L Word: Generation Q! The episode she was featured in, Little Boxes (season 3, episode 7) premiered today (January 1, 2023) on Showtime. In 2022, Fletcher officially became her own muse. In September, the queer singer-songwriter released her first studio album, Girl of My Dreams. While her three previous EPs drew from specific relationships and heartbreaks — including the one that eventually inspired “Becky’s So Hot,” the viral single about her ex’s new girlfriend that whipped lesbian TikTok into a frenzy — Fletcher’s newest release flipped the narrative back on herself, chronicling two years’ worth of grappling with her own self-identity and self-love.

We connected with our November cover star during an off-day on her North American tour. She’s excited for the release of the deluxe edition of her debut album Girl Of My Dreams, and kindly shares with us her road to adulthood, growing up in conservative Asbury Park, New Jersey, and the exciting things to come on her horizon.
