Lakoda Rayne were an American all-female country-pop group formed by Simon Cowell on The X Factor (US) in 2011. The group was formed during boot camp and made up of 4 solo act girls, Cari Fletcher, Hayley Orrantia, Paige Elizabeth Ogle and Dani Knights. They were mentored by judge, Paula Abdul during their time in the competition.
For their first performance together, the girls sang a country version of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way”. They were in the bottom two during Week 3’s live results, but were saved by judges, L.A. Reid, Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell. Lakoda Rayne was eliminated on November 23, 2011, during the Week 5 / Top 9 to 7 elimination show after getting the lowest amount of public votes. The group game in 9th place.
Shortly after leaving the competition, Paige Elizabeth Ogle left the group. In 2012, Lakoda Rayne released their only single and music video, “Emergency Brake”. The girls attended the All Star Country Vacation event in October 2012.
In 2014, Cari announced that the group has parted ways.
